What is a Waltzer Ride
Waltzer rides are one of the oldest and most popular funfair rides of all time. One of the things that has made them so popular of the years is that they are a funfair ride that is fun for the whole family. If there was a one ride fits all, it would defiantly be the waltzer ride.
When operating a waltzer ride moves around in a circle and at the same time moves up and down, with this movement it helps the rotating carriages spin around. The movement of the ride is what gave it its original name (waltzer) as in the type of dancing called the waltz. The first owners of the ride must of thought it looked like people waltzing around a ball room. We think it is a fantastic name.
Waltzers are a amazing attraction for all kind of events as they are suitable for all ages as they can be operated slow or fast, you have properly heard the saying scream if you want to go faster.

Cheap Quotes
Please keep in mind when you are shopping around for waltzer hire prices that you will sometimes come across cheap quotes. To achieve cheap quotes something has to be cut, for example maintenance costs so the rides are not kept to the best quality or it could be the salary of the staff and as they say if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. This all adds up to providing a poor services so please choose a a supplier you can trust.
All the rides and equipment we provide are all kept at a very high standard. All rides are tested annually and have £10 Million Public Liability Insurance. All staff are polite and trained to give a professional service.

Average cost: £2500 for up to 6 hours
Setup time: 8-10 hours
Take down time: 2-3 hours
Space needed: 65ft x 50ft
Power needed: We will supply our own super silent generator as the waltzer ride needs a lot of power and can not operated on standard power sockets.
Entrance Needed
The entrance needed for the waltzer ride needs to be a minimum of 9ft wide. The entrance also needs to have good access as the ride is trailer mounted and is transported by a large vehicle, so it needs to have enough room to be able to maneuver.
To give you a idea how much space is needed for the waltzer entrance please see the photos below of the waltzer ride ready for transport.
If the venue is a field and the entrance is soft we can also supply trackway mats if needed. We can supply up to 20 trackway mats for free to get the waltzer to the setup location but if you are needing more we will have to charge for the extra trackway mats.
Setup
The waltzer ride is setup by a highly trained team that can setup the waltzer ride in amazing time (approx 8 hours) regarding the amount of work that is needed to setup the ride. To setup the waltzer the team will need a setup space of 65ft x 50ft. The ground does not need to be completely flat but it will help the team setup and take down the ride much faster.
If the setup location is a soft field we can setup the waltzer on the trackway mats we will use to get to the setup location. This will help prevent any damage to your event field.
Operating
When operating the waltzer ride you have the option for us to play music of your choice and this is at no extra cost.
One of the best things about operating the waltzer ride is that it is operated manually and not by computers as most rides are now. This means we control the speed of the ride so we can send each ride as fast or as slow as you like. This is perfect if you have some guests who do not like fast rides.
Waltzer Hire Cost
There is a number of things to consider when calculating the waltzer hire cost.
1. Length of operating time
The length of operating time is one of the big factors when calculating the cost. The standard hire times for the waltzer hire is 4 hours hire and 6 hours hire but we can give you a quote for as many hours as you like.
The reason the length of time effects the total cost is because the staff are paid hourly so the longer the serving time the more we will have to pay our staff.
2. Time of day
The time of day effects the cost of the waltzer hire because if you are wanting us to operate past 10pm we will have to pay our staff extra for the unsociable hours. Also if the event is in to the early hours we might have to have over night accommodation for our staff.
3. Day Of The Week
The day of the week effects the cost as Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are the most in demand days so we will need to charge our going rates, but if your event is through the week we might be able to do the event cheaper for you.
4. Event Location
This is a factor in hire cost as the further the location from our bases the more it will cost in fuel and the more we will have to pay our staff from transporting times. If the location is also to far for us to drive back home after setting up the ride the day before we world also need to and accommodation costs to the total amount.
5. Number Of People Attending The Event
The number of people at the event is a factor in hire cost because the more people we need to accommodate the more staff we will need. The more staff will help us provide a better service when at a event with a large number of guests.
6. Difficulty Getting To The Setup Location
This is a factor on pricing because if it is very difficult getting to setup location it could take us a lot long to setup and take down the waltzer. Also if it is a long distance to the setup location from where we can park our vehicles we might need more staff to help with moving of the equipment.

Waltzer hire price? If you email us we can send you a average price list off all our rides but this is just a average as all events are different, for a quote for your event please send us your event address, date, times and number of people attending.
How much time is each ride on the waltzers? We normally operate the ride for 3 to 5 minutes as this is seems to be the perfect time to give all guests a ride without making them feel sick.
Do the waltzer setup have public liability insurance? Yes all the rides have £10 million public liability insurance.
Are all the waltzers annual tested? Yes all the waltzers have annual ADIPS tests and then we are given a Declaration of Operational Compliance (DOC) of an amusement device in accordance with Section D of HSG 175: Fairgrounds and amusement parks – Guidance on safe practice
Can we charge for customer to use the waltzers? Yes you can charge the public if you do not want to have a free event. We can do this for you or you can have a member of your team handle the money.
Will you attend a event and not charge for the hire of the ride and just charge the public? Yes we can do this but we will need to know how many people have attend the event in the past. We need to know the attendance numbers as we need to calculate if we could earn enough money to pay our expenses and earn a profit.
Can waltzers setup on grass? Yes waltzers can be setup on grass. If the field is soft we also supply trackway hire so we can still get to the setup location.
Will you make marks when setting up on the fields? No we will try our hardest to not make any marks on your field, we can do this by using army track ways to drive on and setup on, if you are wanting us to use army track ways please can you tell us when booking as this will cost extra.
Can you play music if needed? Yes we can play music if needed for your event or we can leave the music off.
