What is water zorbing

Water zorbing is a large inflatable plastic/rubber ball that are normally approx 2.5m in size and give you the ability to walk on water. To walk on water firstly the water zorb ball is inflated and as it is inflated you will climb inside the ball. When the ball is fully inflated the operator with zip up the ball and then walk you on to the water. When you are on the water you can walk and run on top of the surface of the water, it truly is a incredible experience.

Cheap Quotes

When looking around for water zorbing please be careful of the cheap quotes out there. To provide cheap quotes they normally use the cheap water zorb balls that are bought from china that are made from very low quality materials and are poorly made. The low quality zorb balls are also very easy to damage as they are made from thin material and because of this they often rip and get your guests wet inside the ball.

Water Zorbing Hire

Pool size: 9m x 9m

Space needed to setup and operate: 12m x 10m.

Number of water zorbs: 4 balls can be used at one time with 1 person in each ball or you can hire 2 pools so 8 water balls can be used at one time.

Setup time: 60 minutes.

Take down time: 60 minutes.

Power needed: 13 amp standard wall socket or we can provide a small super silent generator.

Setup

When it comes to setting up the water zorbing equipment we will need a flat level surface so the water will be the same depth all across the water tank.

The best thing about hiring from Eddy Leisure is that we are the only company in the UK who can supply our own water for the water zorbing tank (8,000 litres). We transport the water in two 4000 litre water tanks on the back of our transport lorry and because of this we can setup in just 60 mins.

Entrance Needed

Ideally we will need access for a HGV to the setup location as this is the most practical way to setup. If we can not get to the setup location we can carry the equipment to the setup location and use water pumps to pump the water to the water zorbing tank. If we have to carry the equipment and pump the water to the setup location please let us know the distance when booking.

Operating

To operate the zorb balls we will need a 13 amp standard wall socket but if this is not possible we can provide a small super silent generator. We will also supply staff to operate the water zorbing equipment as this takes trained staff to operated.

How Do You Climb inside the Water Zorbing balls

Firstly You will need to take off your shoes but it is recommended to leave your socks on and anything else that is sharp and could put a hole in the zorb ball. Then the operator will start to inflate the ball before you climb inside. Once the ball is inflated which only takes about 5 to 8 seconds you will climb through the hole. When you are inside the water zorb the operator with fill the ball with the correct amount of pressure and then zip up the water tied tip. Normally we like to give each person about 5 minutes as this gives each person a chance to experience the walking on water.

If you would like to see how all the this is done and what it looks like please see the video below.

Water Zorbing Hire Cost

There is a number of things to consider when calculating the water zorbing hire cost.

1. Length of operating time

The length of operating time is one of the big factors when calculating the cost. The standard hire times for the water zorbing is 2 hours hire, 4 hours hire and 6 hours hire but we can give you a quote for as many hours as you like.

The reason the length of time effects the total cost is because the staff are paid hourly so the longer the serving time the more we will have to pay our staff.

2. Time of day

The time of day effects the cost of the water zorbing because if you are wanting us to operate past 10pm we will have to pay our staff extra for the unsociable hours. Also if the event is in to the early hours we might have to have over night accommodation for our staff.

3. Day Of The Week

The day of the week effects the cost as Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are the most in demand days so we will need to charge or going rates, but if your event is through the week we might be able to do the event cheaper for you.

4. Number Of Pools And Water Balls

The number of pools effects the price because if you are wanting 2 pools we will need more staff and also another vehicle for transport.

If you are wanting 1 pool we can safely operate 4 water zorbs at one time but if you are wanting 2 pools we can safely operated 8 water zorbs at one time.

5. Difficulty Getting To The Setup Location

This is a factor on pricing because if it is very difficult getting to setup location it could take us a lot long to setup and take down. Also if it is a long distance to the setup location from where we can park our vehicle we might need more staff to help with moving of the equipment.

6. Difficulty Getting The Amount Of Water Needed

This is a very important one as it is impossible for us to transport and deliver the amount of water needed as we need a minimum of 8000 liters. The best way for us to get the amount of water needed is from a fire hydrant. To supply the water from a fire hydrant we would need to be within 50 meters of the closest hydrant. If you do not have a fire hydrant close by we have 2 other options. Option 1. We can setup the day before if you only have a standard hose tap as this will take a minimum of 10 hours to have the recommended amount of water needed, or Opion 2. We can fetch a water bowser to collect water from the closest fire hydrant. Both the last 2 options will cost extra for the extra time, travel and work.
